Scheduling Enhancements

Assign Schedules
|
A new feature called Assign Schedules has been added in Processes section of Scheduling module.
You can use this feature to assign schedules which are defined in Rules > Schedule section to employees who have no schedules assigned to them.
Assign Schedules feature uses the Drag and Drop functionality, where an employee is assigned a schedule, by simply dragging employee name field and placing it on particular schedule name field.

Home Page Enhancements

Vacation Calendar
|
A new option called Vacation Calendar has been added in Vacation page.
You can use this option to view employees’ who have taken vacation/time off on a
particular date for a given month.
|

Assign Temporary Approver
|
A new section called Assign Temporary Approver has been added in Preferences
section.
You can use this option to assign another user (supervisor) to approve your employees’
time sheets for a specific duration.
Note: The other user (supervisor) must belong to the same Approval Level
of yours; otherwise the user cannot approve your employee time sheets.

Balance Transfer
|
You can use this feature to transfer Maximum Carryover of Accrued Hours from
one Attendance Plan to another Attendance Plan.

Import of employee initial attendance balances
|
You can use this feature to directly import initial attendance balances of employee/s
from an MS-Excel spreadsheet into the program.
This feature eliminates manual, time- consuming entry of employee attendance data
in the application.

Enhanced Reports
|

Manpower Planning Report
|
The Manpower Planning Report displays number of employees who worked under
particular Org level and their Payroll details. The report also displays Org level-wise
OT (Over time) details of all employees.
The report is used for effective planning and distribution of manpower resources
for particular departments, in order to check overtime hours worked by employees.

Direct Print
|
You can print any reports directly, without having to give Print Folder Access Rights
for printing purpose.

Time Rules/Calculation Engine

Enhanced Holiday Rules- Average Hours
|
A new feature called Average Hours has been added in Holiday Rules.
You can use this feature to set minimum days/hours employee needs to work, in order
to be eligible for paid holiday transaction hours.

Minimum Wage Setup
|
A new rule called Minimum Wage Setup has been added in Processing
(Time) Rules. You can use this rule to define minimum wages
for employees at the State Level or Federal Level.
|

Enhanced Overtime Calculations
|
A new feature called Work Week Start Time has been added in Pay Group Rule
Setup. You can use this feature to define the start time for a particular work week.
The feature is mainly used to split hours worked by employees/s for a given work
week.

Enhanced Shift Premium Calculations
|
You can set up Shift premium amounts with specified Amount/Hour, Flat Amount, Amount/Hour
as Flat Amount or a Percentage of the employee pay rate.
Shift Groups club several shifts under one group with similar ‘In’ and ‘Out’ timings,
but different Shift Premiums associated with them.
Depending on the Priority Level (i.e. 0 to 5) set for a Shift Group, all shift codes
in this Group with ‘Percentage’ Calculation Type will get a higher shift differential.

Enhanced Job Costing Capabilities
|
EBSTime supports an unlimited number of Departments and an unlimited number
of Jobs. Employees can be assigned to "Home Department" values and can also enter
their "current" or "active" department right at the Time Clock. Employees can also
enter their current Job code into the Time Clock.
Switching between Departments and Jobs during the workday is a smooth process. Simply
press the "Switch" key and enter the new Department and/or Job code. The application
assigns the new hours to the correct Department and Job.
Unlimited Variable Pay Rates are supported within the application, as well.
You can specify a different Pay Rate for different Departments, Jobs or Department/Job
combinations. Variable Pay Rates can be as unique as desired, down to individual
employees or groups of employees, Individual Departments, Department Groups, Individual
Jobs, Job Groups or combinations of any of the above.

Enhanced Transfer Rules- Pay Rate Validation
|
A new feature called Employee Base Rate Validation has been added in Transfer
Rules.
You can use this feature to post employee departmental transfers to time sheets
based on the transfer rate defined in the program or the employee unit pay rate;
whichever has a higher pay rate value is taken into consideration.

Enhanced Lunch Rules

A new feature called ‘Set Time At’ has been added in Lunch Rules.
You can use this feature to define fixed time for employee/s to take lunch for a
given day.

Integration with other HR/Payroll Interfaces

Integration with EBSTime provides bi-directional real time transfer of information
from various Third-Party HR/Payroll applications.
The application supports virtually all major payroll formats, which includes the
following newly introduced ones :
- Sage Accpac ERP- US Payroll
- Sage Accpac ERP- Canadian Payroll
- EBSHR Enterprise
Additionally, EBSTime data can be exported in ASCII or .CSV file formats for complete
portability and accessibility.

The Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanism has been implemented between the following
applications:
- EBSHR and EBSTime Suite
- Sage Abra ESS and EBSPunch
This mechanism allows user to access EBSTime/EBSPunch application from EBSHR and
Sage Abra ESS respectively.

Increased Approval Levels up to 5
|
Two level time sheet approvals is now enhanced to a five level approval. You can
setup five different approval levels, which is an innovative feature designed to
help businesses improve data accuracy. It allows supervisors - payroll managers
to approve an employee's time sheet at their respective levels. This cross-checking
at various levels eliminates chances of errors and assures greater accuracy in payroll
processing.

Enhanced Mass Update Time Group Process
|
Mass Update Time Group process allows you to change the Time Group of an employee.
Changing an employee’s Time Group involves a complete change in all Processing Rules
(Lunches, Breaks, Shifts, Holidays, Work Day Rules, etc) included within that Time
Group. Updating Time Groups for individual employees is a tedious and Time consuming
job. The process of ‘Mass Update Time Group’ allows for a quick and smooth
transition of Time Groups. You can narrow down from general to more specific areas
for Mass Update by selecting appropriate Organization levels.
You can now filter employee data for Mass Update Time Group’ process based on Employee
Type or Default Shift options.
In Mass Update Time Group process, you can create time group templates, if required.
This allows you to assign a particular Time Group, to a new employee whose details
are imported into the application.
